We are thrilled to announce the launch of Tom’s Talks
Great news! We are launching our Tom’s Talk program. Through Tom’s Talks, Beantown Pals visit some of the most neglected communities, where school supplies and mental health services are often scarce, and we share Tom’s inspiring story of overcoming adversity.
Uplifting our underserved youth.
For more than 20 years, Tom Hayes has visited and spoken to K-3 children at inner city and underserved school systems throughout the Greater Boston area. Through humor and transparency, Tom has shared his own story of surviving a rare form of cancer while losing his leg during the battle.
By opening communication lines and providing a safe space for discussion, I have been able to improve the odds for hundreds of underserved students, said Tom Hayes.
Beantown Pals donates age-appropriate toys, books, and character-building activities to program participants during these visits. Check out our sizzle reel below to see and learn more about the toys.
Understanding Cause Marketing
Cause Marketing is a type of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in which a company’s promotional campaign has two purposes. One purpose is to increase profitability of the company, and the other is to better society in some way, shape, or form. Cause Marketing starts with a charitable initiative and snowballs into something so much greater.
Connecting with Your Community
Charitable giving demonstrates that you give back to the community and are in business for more than profit. There are a few reasons why your business should consider donating to Tom’s Talks. People shop at businesses who invest in causes that care about consumers as individuals.
Charitable giving is good PR, and it makes sense for business, especially businesses that depend on their communities to keep them afloat. When immersing yourself with the school system, your brand is aligning itself with education, youth, and mental health.
Build Trust in Your Brand
Cause Marketing can build trusting relationships with your community, consumers, and employees. Campaigns including local charity organizations will further your community presence and allow for parts of your community to get involved. If you keep all your promises, this will make people remember what kind of company you are and will ensure growth of trusting relationships.
Expand Your Network
This is a two-way relationship. There are several ways Beantown Pals can publicize your support, through press releases, monthly newsletter, local press, and social media platforms.
Additional Perks
Improved staff morale is another area in which businesses benefit through philanthropy. Corporate culture is important to future and current staff, and your workers will feel good about working for a company that gives back.
